WINTER IN THE DESERT - TUCSON, ARIZONA - Feb 25 - March 2, 2012

We meet in Phoenix and drive to our spa hotel located in the Starr Pass area of Tucson. In addition to the spa, there is a golf course on the premises and hiking trails nearby. For 5 days we will photograph the Sonoran Desert, including the National Park area and the Sonoran Desert Museum. With Mt. Lemon nearby, we will also have a varied environment, but the Giant Suguaro cactus will be prominent in our images. During the week you will learn about your camera and creative methods for photographing this unusual landscape. Cost of the trip is $1875, excluding meals and airfare to Phoenix.

CREATIVE VISION IN SOUTHERN UTAH - May 12 - 18, 2012

This newly revised workshop begins in Springdale, Utah, where we spend 6 nights at a wonderful  ‘green’ spa hotel at the entrance to Zion National Park. From this location we can visit the Zion area and venture to Bryce Canyon and the Escalante Wilderness for photography. You will explore your creativity each day, trying new methods with the camera and learning to approach your subjects in new ways to develop your personal creative vision. The subjects are varied, from rivers to slot canyons to hoodoos to bighorn sheep! Cost of the workshop is $1799 (excluding airfare to Las Vegas and Meals).

CENTRAL ITALY - DEVELOPING A PERSONAL VISION - June 4 - 15, 2012

I will be leading this workshop which focuses on 2 locations in the Emilia Romagne region, one a canal-filled seaport south of Venice and the other a small village in the Apennine Hills. The cost of this workshop is $2900 including 1/2 board, hotel and ground transportation in Italy. CREATIVE ENCOUNTERS ON THE CALIFORNIA COAST - Dates TBA

This new workshop will be located in the Marina Del Rey area of Los Angeles. Each day we will visit locations such as Venice Beach, Muscle Beach, Santa Monica Pier, Malibu, the beaches on the coastal highway and more.
