DEATH VALLEY, CALIFORNIA - Feb 27 - March 5, 2010

We meet in Las Vegas, drive 3 SUVs to Death Valley National Park, and explore this varied and exciting area for 5 days and 6 nights. We will experience the landscape from 280 ft below sea level to over 5000 ft above, and experience sand dunes, canyons and mountain vistas. Cost of the trip is $1599 (excluding airfare to Las Vegas).


SOUTHERN UTAH (ZION & BRYCE NATIONAL PARKS) - May 8 - 14, 2010

This popular workshop begins in Springdale, Utah, where we spend 6 wonderful nights at Flanigan’s Inn, a ‘green’ spa hotel at the entrance to Zion National Park. From this location we visit the Zion area and venture to Bryce Canyon and the Escalante Wilderness for our photographic adventure. You will learn to optimize your camera for landscape photography and the subjects are varied, from rivers to slot canyons to hoodoos to bighorn sheep! Cost of the workshop is $1599 (excluding airfare to Las Vegas).


COASTAL MAINE WITH ACADIA NATIONAL PARK - JUNE 5 - 11, 2010

We will explore the mid-coast area of Maine, extending from Acadia National Park to Pemaquid Point, which covers most of the Penobscot Bay. This area is home to the lobster and handmade boat industries as well as many artists and craftsmen. The landscape is varied from forests to seascapes to rocky shorelines and seaside villages. Our hotel is an historic inn in the lovely town of Camden, from which we’ll make our daily excursions. Cost of this workshop is $1449, (excluding airfare to Portland).

These photographs were made in the Zion and Bryce areas of Utah during the 2007 Travel Workshop. Participation is limited to 11 photographers this year.
