Experience the gorgeous coastline with long, open beaches and unusual sea stacks. Low tides reveal rocks filled with mussels and starfish, while whales are often visible offshore.The variety of moods of the Pacific Ocean change with the weather and time of day. Magnificent redwood forests around Crescent City, CA and Brookings OR contain towering trees, ferns and amazing light, and you may feel as though you are in an outdoor cathedral. We will spend nights in each state, visiting nearby locations for photographic study. Time will be spent on camera technique in the field as well as with compositional interpretation during reviews after downloading. We will learn to look at the landscape in a deeper and more interpretive way and to process images to manifest your vision. This workshop is limited to 7 participants.

Workshop Fee: $1395 due by May 7, 2022. This fee covers the cost of pre-trip planning, equipment suggestions, photography instruction and feedback, photography demonstrations, and location selection during the workshop. (Flights, hotels, food and car rental are not included.)

Accommodations: You may book your choice of hotels in Brookings, Crescent City and Medford. Recommendations will be provided at the time of registration.

Ground Transportation: You will need to book or share a car with others.
